Author Kate Lloyd grew up in a colorful household of creative artists and intellectuals. Before becoming a writer, she was a single mom, working a variety of jobs, including restaurant owner/proprietor and luxury car salesman.

Kate is married to chiropractor Noel Lloyd, and lives in Seattle, where she writes daily and encourages other in their creative pursuits, whether on stage, in the garden or in the kitchen. She enjoys beach combing at her family’s summer home on Camano Island, studying Italian and singing. Kate is the proud mother of Bryan Redecker and Chris Lloyd.

Kate Lloyd graduated from college with a degree in Art, and her home is adorned with her and other family members’ paintings and sculpture.
